Sri Lanka's Victory

Game 9 in Hobart on Friday the 24th.

After a good start in batting by Australia it looked liked the Aussies had done very well especially after Peter Forrest made a century and Clarke trailing behind him with 72. But the tourists came out with a good fight with great batting from Jayawardene making 85 from 80.But good bowling from the Aussies getting 5 wickets in 10 overs looked like it would be a good match and it was, coming down to the 2nd last and last over with Mathews hitting a 4 and a 6 to make it 3 from the last over. Clarke brought the field in close on the last over but the Sri Lanka  batsman smashed a 4 through the covers to claim victory!!

Dhoni's Day!

After a great batting performance by Australia at the Adelaide Oval finishing there run score on 269 it looked like Australia put up a good fight but great batting by India put the home team in trouble! When India needed 20 off the 2nd last over Doherty picked up 2 quick wickets. But on the last over Dhoni hit a massive 112m 6 which won the game for India!

QLD'S Comeback!

I thought WA was going to win by a mile when I started watching it, it was 4 for 120 and it was not looking promising for QLD but some good batting from Nathan Reardon  put them back in the game. On the last ball of the game Alister McDermot (number 11) was facing and QLD needed 6 runs off 1 ball and he tried to ramp it for 6 and missed completely and WA won the game by 6 runs!
